What Can Be Repaired?

For this upcoming session, organizers are accepting the following items:

  • Clothing and textiles
  • Soft toys
  • Jewelry
  • Lamps
  • Bicycles

Common repairs include mending torn clothing like pants with knee damage, fixing broken jewelry links, repairing loose bracelet connections, and performing bicycle brake adjustments.

To ensure faster service, organizers recommend bringing any specific parts you know are needed for your repair. However, they note that not all material sizes can be guaranteed to be available on-site.

Beyond the immediate repair services, the event will feature both live and recorded demonstrations, allowing attendees to learn repair techniques they can apply at home for future fixes.

The East Brunswick Repair Café is part of an international movement. Community members interested in learning more about the broader Repair Café initiative can visit www.repaircafe.org/en. Additional information about the local event is available online at www.friendsebec.com.
