East Brunswick Road Races to Affect Several Roadways
Annual event will close four township roads on Oct. 13 from noon to 3 p.m.

As part of East Brunswick's 36th annual Road Races, several township roads will be impacted by the event.
The races will be held rain or shine on Oct. 13 at the Crystal Springs Aquatic Center, located at 380 Dunhams Corner Road.
The following township roads will be closed temporarily as a result of the races:
- Riva Ave. between Church Lane and Hardenburg Lane will be closed from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Church Lane will be closed between Riva Ave. and Dunhams Corner from noon to 3 p.m.
- Dunhams Corner will be closed between Valley Forge and Crystal Springs from noon to 3 p.m.
- Beekman Road from Church Lane to the South Brunswick Border will be closed from noon to 3 p.m.
Police Officers will be stationed at all the closed intersections, in addition to various locations around the race.
The Road Races event, which will include the Kids Pumpkin Dash, a 1-Mile Fun Run, a 5K and a 10K road race, will benefit the East Brunswick Rescue Squad. The rescue squad is 100 percent volunteer and relies solely on the generosity of donors. Last year, the Rescue Squad responded to more than 2,000 911 calls for emergency assistance.
