East Brunswick Schedules 4th Annual Youth Fishing Derby

Residents can bring their kids for free for a day of fishing and fun.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — East Brunswick has scheduled its 4th Annual Youth Fishing Derby on Saturday, June 1 from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. at Dallenbach Lake.

Residents can bring their kids for free for a day of fishing and fun.

Participants should bring their equipment. Very limited rental poles will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. A fishing permit is not required for those 15 and under.

Don't know how to cast a bait? No worries. The township will provide brief lessons on that day, along with information handouts and equipment checks.

Competitions will be ongoing throughout the morning. Assistance is provided by the Boy and Girl Scouts in both Troops and Packs, NJ DEP Fishing & Wildlife, and East Brunswick Recreation & Parks Staff.
