Husband Shot Wife, Then Turned Gun On Himself In Jersey Shore Home, Prosecutor Says

WILDWOOD CREST, NJ — The two people found dead in a Wildwood Crest home earlier this week were killed in an apparent murder-suicide, according to the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office and Wildwood Crest police.

As Patch previously reported, the duo was found in a home on the 300 block of Atlanta Avenue. The man and woman were identified as Donald Miller, 79, and Marion Miller, 79, both Wildwood Crest residents, authorities said.

Preliminary findings revealed that Marion's cause of death was a single gunshot wound, and Donald's was a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to officials.

There remains no threat to the public, authorities said.

The investigation is ongoing pending final forensic and medical examiner reports. No additional information will be released until the investigation is concluded or as circumstances warrant, officials said.
