East Brunswick Seeks Sister City MOU With Mysuru In India

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – On Monday, East Brunswick adopted a resolution authorizing the execution of a sister city partnership with Mysuru in India.

East Brunswick has sister city agreements with Yavne in Israel, and Rivne, Ukraine established in 2022.

On Monday, the council formally approved the MOU, and authorized appropriate municipal officials and the Mayor to execute the MOU, which will be “subject to such final changes as may be approved by the Mayor upon advice of the Township Attorney.”

Popularly known as the ‘City of Palaces’ Mysuru is located in the Indian state of Karnataka and is well known for its rich architectural history, palaces and gardens.

The city has also emerged as a major IT hub in the state and is well known for the production of sandalwood and rosewood artifacts, stone sculptures, inlay work with ivory and silk production.
