Soccer Star From East Brunswick To Be Inducted In NJ Hall Of Fame
Soccer legend Heather O'Reilly is part of the NJ Hall Of Fame's 14th class of inductees.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — East Brunswick’s very own Heather O’Reilly will be honored by the New Jersey Hall of Fame (NJHOF) this year.
The soccer legend is part of NJHOF’s 14th class of inductees.
O’Reilly, who won a World Cup and three Olympic gold medals with the U.S. Women’s Nation Team, grew up in East Brunswick. She played on the girls' soccer team at East Brunswick High School and graduated in 2002.

“New Jersey is never at a loss for heroes and role models for coming generations,” Jon F. Hanson, chairman of the NJHOF said.
“We are honored to celebrate the lives and contributions of these notable New Jersey luminaries throughout the state, at our terminals and Parkway service areas, and next year at our Entertainment and Learning Center at American Dream.”

At the age of 17, O’Reilly earned her first cap for the women’s national team. She became the youngest member of the USWNT to be named in the 2004 Olympic team.
This year’s NJ Hall of Fame ceremony will be virtual.
