Getting Affordable and Trendy at Hope & Dawn

Jodi Reich, owner of , always wanted to run her own business. After all, it was in her blood.

“My dad owned a restaurant when I was growing up, and it was always my dream to own my own business” she said.

Now, Reich is the owner of Hope & Dawn Boutique in the Route 18 mall and she couldn’t be happier. Hope & Dawn carries a variety of women’s clothing and accessories all for under $100 and all hand picked by Reich herself.

“It’s like shopping everyday with a friend, I buy all the merchandise myself and there’s nothing like it in East Brunswick,” she said.

Reich opened Hope & Dawn in the fall of 2010, and in addition to the storefront entrance, there is a second entrance to the clothing store via the next door spa, giving Reich something of a built in customer base that she serves regularly.

“It’s a nice added benefit, kind of a one stop shop,” she said. “They feel good about themselves and get something, or they need a gift, and they come. We have a wide range of gifts so it’s great for them.”

Trendy clothes and accessories such as hats, purses, bracelets, and Hanky Panky lingerie are the name of the game at Hope & Dawn, as is price. Reich makes sure that everything in the shop is affordable—under $100—so whether you are a son, daughter, teen or mother or a father, there is something you can afford.

“I wanted a place that my daughters could shop, I could shop and my mother could shop,” she said.

Reich’s three daughters also gives her a unique perspective on shopping A 20 year resident, Reich knew what girls wanted, but realized there just wasn’t a great place for them to get the trendy, affordable clothes and accessories they were looking for.

“I looked a different franchises, but when I looked at meeting the needs of the community, to me, this met those needs,” she said. “We offer something locally, and we’re all about easy, affordable and good brands.”

Located in the Route 18 mall, Hope & Dan is open Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
