Girl Scout Wants You To Remember WWII Veterans

Courtney Ur of Girl Scout in Troop 81197 is in the process of earning her Silver Award project. As part of her 60 hours of community work she has dedicated her time to ensure that World War II Veterans do not feel forgotten. She has titled her project “Remembering Our Heroes.”  On May 27, Courtney sponsored a social event at the where veterans socialized, showed memorabilia and shared experiences from the war.  A total of 14 veterans came from different branches of the service.  Courtney will continue to honor our WWII Veterans with additional events.
