Hatikvah Students to Select New Mascot
Mayor David Stahl to assist in the selection process.

In conjunction with the recent presidential election, the young students of Hatikvah International Academy Charter Schoo will celebrate the conclusion of a month-long project learning about the democratic process with a vote to choose their school mascot on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 10:30 a.m.
The students in grades K-4 prepared for the mascot election in multiple ways. In science class, some grades studied life cycles and mammals. In social studies class, other grades studied the political system and elections. In math sections, students counted and graphed results.
In each grade, children voted in primary elections to decide on grade level candidates for the full school mascot vote. As a result of the primaries, there will be five candidates on Wednesday's final ballot.
