Fulfilling Seniors Needs - food insecurity, exercise, general wellness

The Raritan Valley YMCA (www.raritanvalleyymca.org) has teamed up with the Middlesex County Office of Aging & Disabled Services at 732-745-3295 to increase public awareness of services and opportunities for county seniors, the disabled, and their care givers. For general health information and area wide programs and services for senior citizens and disabled persons residing in the county visit https://www.middlesexcountynj....For food insecurity, senior support, screenings, exercise or wellness programs, contact the YMCA for information at 732-257-4114.Seniors are also welcome to come by the Y to pick up a food box and get on the produce list. Those over 65 may also check their supplemental plan to see if it provides free access to the Y (Silver Seniors or Silver & Fit).The Y is located at 144 Tices Lane in East Brunswick and offers private work out rooms, a general fitness center, and senior exercise classes.
