After years as one of East Brunswick’s most well-known businesses, the offices of the .
In an announcement made in the paper and online, the newspaper, owned by the Gannett Company, announced that it’s East Brunswick location will close and move to Somerville. Paul C. Grzella, general manager and editor, said the move would not change the way the paper covers local issues.

The Home News Tribune offices will move to a new location later this month.
Local advertising and newsroom personnel will share offices with the Home News Tribune’s sister paper the Courier News in Somerville.

“This is simply a change in how we utilize available space,” said Paul C. Grzella, general manager and editor. “We will continue to produce distinctly local newspapers for each market as well as a 24/7 digital platform, MyCentralJersey.com. This does not impact any position or our commitment to producing unique local news and advertising products for Middlesex County.”
The move will be done by July 31.
. Almost a year ago the Gannett Company cut staff at area papers, including , Asbury Park Press, and Courier News, by 36 employees.
According to a memo leaked to Gannett Blog at the time, approximately 700 employees, or 2 percent of the company’s overall workforce, were expected to be let go. The cuts were necessary because of a decrease in revenue, according to the memo.
