Michelle Haltfield (the Americorps NJ Watershed Ambassador for the state’s watershed management area #9) leads this presentation. She discusses what green infrastructure is, how it works, how to implement it, and how it benefits the plants, animals and people in the region.
Green infrastructure is a wide array of practices that use or mimic natural systems to deal with stormwater runoff. It can be as elaborate as a green roof, or a simple as a rain barrel.
