Letter to the Editor: PSE&G Energy Strong Program
Employee asks the public to support PSE&G's $3.9 billion Energy Strong program.

The destruction from Hurricane Sandy was extremely devastating for everyone
in our area. However, I was very fortunate. I evacuated my apartment in Jersey City and came to live with my family in East Brunswick. The problems that we had seemed insignificant compared to others. We did not have electricity for a week, which was a nuisance, but manageable. My largest problem during the entire week was getting a full tank of gas.
As an employee of PSEG, as soon as I was able to be of service, I took every
opportunity I could to lend a hand. Working on weekends and countless hours, I felt relieved knowing that I had very little to worry about as compared to the customers I had to assist.
Energy Strong is a plan for PSEG to do everything in their power to prepare for future disasters like Hurricane Sandy. PSEG will do this by ensuring that our distribution systems are more reliable and our recovery times become faster. This program will also help New Jersey’s employment.

I am very proud to be a part of this movement and hope that the residents of East Brunswick will feel the same way.
