Memorial Day in East Brunswick
Residents gathered Sunday to honor those who gave their lives in defense of the country.
Residents gathered in Veterans Park Sunday to observe Memorial Day.
Participating veterans groups include Jewish War Veterans Post No. 311; VFW Post No.133; VFW Post No. 133 Ladies Auxiliary; AMVETS Post No. 34; American Merchant Marine Veterans, Dennis Roland Chapter of NJ; Vietnam Veterans of America; and the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Jewish War Veterans Post No. 311 served as the Host Post and Mayor David Stahl served as Master of Ceremonies. Other dignitaries included everymementer of the Township Council, Denise Contrino,Camille Ferraro, Michael Hughes, Nancy Pinkin and James Wendell. Other program participants included members of the US Naval Sea Cadets Corp serving as wreath bearers, the East Brunswick High School Brass Choir, the East Brunswick Community Chorus, and Boy Scout Troop No. 132.
