Middlesex Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting 2 Minors: Prosecutor

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — A 45-year-old Spotswood man was charged for sexually assaulting two juveniles, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Captain Edward Schapley of the Spotswood Police said.

Raymond Remus, 45, of Spotswood, was arrested on Thursday and charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

The arrest was made after an investigation conducted by Det. John Fedak of the Spotswood Police Department and Det. Ryan Kirsh of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

Remus is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending the results of his Pre-Trial Detention hearing, Ciccone said.

Authorities did not specify when or where the assault took place.
