Obituary: Carmine De Stefano
De Stefano drove a bus for NJ Transit for 35 years before retiring.

Carmine Joseph De Stefano died Tuesday, July 16, 2013. He was 82.
Born in the Bronx, NY, he resided in Newark, Elizabeth and Edison before moving to East Brunswick 42 years ago.
Prior to his retirement 20 years ago, he was a bus driver for NJ Transit for 35 years.

A baseball lover, he was the past president of the East Brunswick Little League in the 1970’s, and had coached his grandson in the South Amboy Baseball League.
He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War, and was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Old Bridge.

Surviving are his wife, Madeline Sadeski De Stefano; a son, Peter and his wife Sheila De Stefano of Danville, CA; three daughters, Susan and her husband David Blum of South Amboy, Lisanne De Stefano-Benedict and her husband Gary of Monroe Township, and Joann De Stefano of East Brunswick; a sister, Dolores and her husband Enzo Palombit of Emerson; and five grandchildren Nickolas, Kyle, Michael, Ted and Ariella.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 8 a.m. in the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge.
Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
