Obituary: Margaret Obrzut

Monroe Township resident owned Reilly's Pub in Kearny for 25 years before her retirement 10 years ago.

Margaret M. Hunter Obrzut died Friday, May 03, 2013 at Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was 66.

Born in Jersey City, she resided in Monroe Township for the past 40 years.

Prior to her retirement 10 years ago, she was the owner of Reilly’s Pub in Kearny for 25 years.

She enjoyed bowling, and was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was predeceased by a brother, John J. Hunter, Jr. and her parents, John J. Hunter, Sr. and Ida M. Gleason.

Surviving are her husband, Leonard C. Obrzut, Sr.; four sons, Richard J. Rutzler and his wife Joanne of Mansfield, William E. Rutzler of Denton, NC, Paul A. Rutzler of Hamilton, and Leonard C. Obrzut, Jr. and his wife Daneille of Jamesburg; two daughters, Donna Rutzler-Gerringer and her husband Zachary of Denton, NC, and Darlene M. Obrzut-Jiovani and her husband Che of Burlington Township; two sisters, Eileen Sullivan and her husband Bob of Spotswood, and Dolores Leadbeater of Kearny; 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.

Interment will follow at the NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Monday 6-9 PM, and from 10 a.m. Tuesday.
