2 Children Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle In East Brunswick: Police

One child suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Two children, aged 13 and 11, were injured in a crash that took place at the intersection of Rues Lane and New Brunswick Avenue on Saturday, police said Monday.

Around 3:49 p.m., East Brunswick Police responded to the area for the report of two juvenile pedestrians struck by a motor vehicle. The 11-year-old was taken to a local area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The 13-year-old was sent to a local area hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and remained at the scene of the crash, police said.

Patrolman David Methner of the East Brunswick Police Department's Traffic Safety Section is conducting the crash investigation.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, police said.
