NJ Pilot Killed In Small Plane Crash

A pilot from New Jersey was killed when a single-engine plane crashed Saturday in New York.

According to the National Transportation Safety Board, a Glasair Super II FT airplane crashed near Wallkill, New York, around 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The airport is in the town of Shawangunk, NY.

Ice Cream Shop Closes After SUV Crashes Into Building

Hoffman's Ice Cream in Spring Lake Heights was temporarily closed Saturday evening, after an SUV plowed into the building, according to media reports.

The incident happened at 5:24 p.m. when a 79-year-old motorist entered the parking lot believing the vehicle had been shifted into park, NJ.com reported.

The establishment was back in business Sunday morning after officials confirmed the building was structurally sound, according to a Facebook post from management.

Human Remains Found In Atlantic County

The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s help in identifying human remains that were found last month in Atlantic County.

State troopers responded to the report of suspected human remains in the wooded area alongside Tuckahoe Road in the Estell Manor section of Hamilton Township, Atlantic County on Aug. 28.

Woman Killed In Highway Ramp Crash

A woman was killed Sunday when her car struck concrete barriers in Hamilton, Mercer County, NJSP said.

Angellisa Jeter of Florence was driving on the ramp when her car entered the right shoulder, hit a concrete barrier, traveled across lanes to the left, and hit another concrete barrier, according to authorities. Burglars Smash Through Deli Wall, Steal $13K In Cash

Thieves broke through a wall at M&S Produce and Deli Outlet in Egg Harbor Township Saturday, breached a safe, and stole more than $13,000 in cash, according to media reports.

The overnight burglary also caused thousands in structural damage. Owner Dipen Patel suspects an inside job, noting the intruders knew exactly where valuables were kept, NJ.com reported.

The burglars cut the power and escaped with the surveillance server and cash. A truck driver discovered the open back door around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
