Empty Bowls Project To Raise Funds For Food Insecurity In East Brunswick
The fundraiser will be held at the public library on May 16 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — There are many families in East Brunswick and Middlesex County who are food insecure. While we may not come across many in our day-to-day lives, data from the county shows they exist in large numbers.
To raise awareness on the issue, an Empty Bowls fundraiser will be held at the public library on May 16 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Empty Bowls project is a grassroots effort to raise awareness and funds to combat hunger. Bowls made by students from Churchill Junior High School will be on sale.
