NEW JERSEY — Drones were found flying over the nuclear power plant in NJ over the weekend and a pedestrian was killed while walking on Route 22 on Saturday.

Man Killed In ATV Crash

A 49-year-old man was killed in an ATV crash in Burlington County on Saturday, according to media reports.

Michael Cline was riding the ATV in the backyard of his home when the vehicle hit two logs, flipped, and landed on him, News12 reported.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Teen Shot From Car

A 19-year-old was shot by people in a car on Saturday night in New Brunswick. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his abdomen and shoulder area.

An officer tried to stop the car, which fled the area. It later crashed into a utility pole on Louis Street and two men were taken into custody.

2 Injured In Multi-Car Crash

Two people were injured in a multi-car crash on Saturday in Marlboro, according to media reports.

Three vehicles were involved in a head-on collision around 12:30 a.m. near Union Hill Road, reported News12.

The drivers of two vehicles were hospitalized with minor injuries and the third declined treatment.

PSE&G Asks Feds To Shut Airspace Near Nuclear Power Plant

Two drones were spotted flying over the PSE&G nuclear power plant in Salem over the weekend, officials said. The utility company has now asked the Federal Aviation Administration to shut down the airspace over the sensitive sites.

Rep. Jeff Van Drew (NJ-2) said the two drones, "approximately the size of small SUVs—were observed flying in close proximity.”

“In response to this potential threat, PSEG has requested airspace restrictions,” Van Drew said.

“We are currently working with the FBI to gather more information, and we have requested a classified briefing to ensure that we get the answers the people deserve.”

Meanwhile, PSEG officials said they were aware of the drones flying over the nuclear-generating stations.

"We have contacted the appropriate authorities," a spokesperson told Patch.

"The safety and security of our employees, customers, and communities are our top priority and we will continue to work with authorities."

Pedestrian Fatally Stuck On Route 22

A 47-year-old Bridgewater man was fatally struck by a vehicle while walking on Route 22 in Branchburg on Saturday.

When authorities arrived at the scene, the man was alert and conscious but had sustained injuries from the crash. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
