Man Killed After Car Falls On Him: NJ Weekend

NEW JERSEY - The following incidents were reported across New Jersey over the weekend:

Teen Shot In Head

A 14-year-old was killed and a 16-year-old injured following a shooting in Atlantic City on Friday, authorities said.

On Friday, around 10:48 p.m., the Atlantic City Police Department responded to the 3300 block of Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City on reports of a disturbance involving several people and possible shots fired.

On arrival, officers found two teens on the sidewalk and road. The teens both had gunshot wounds.

The first teen, a 16-year-old male from Atlantic City, was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg and released from the hospital after a few hours.

The second teen, a 14-year-old male from Atlantic City, was taken the hospital after being shot in the head. He died from his injuries on Saturday afternoon, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said.

The South Regional Medical Examiner’s Office will be conducting an autopsy. The incident is currently being investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department Violent Crimes Unit.

2 Men Rob Gas Station

Two men in ski masks robbed a gas station in Little Ferry Township on Sunday. Both men are currently at large, according to media reports.

Police describe one suspect as a Black man wearing a ski mask and a blue jacket, who asked to buy a drink, and the other as a Black man in a ski mask and white hoodie who brandished a firearm and emptied a victim’s pockets, according to News12.

The men also removed cash from the register and later sped away on Route 46. Investigation is ongoing.

Man Killed After Car Falls On Him

A man from Freehold was killed after a car fell on him at a gas station and service shop.

On Saturday around 9 a.m., the man was working on the vehicle at GasTime in Jackson when the vehicle fell on him, reported News12.

The man succumbed to his injuries despite efforts to resuscitate him, reported NJ 101.5.
