Monday

Auditions Philomusica Concert ChoirUnitarian Society, 176 Tices Lane East Brunswick, 7:30 p.m.

The choir will be holding auditions on Sept. 16, 23, 30 and Oct. 7 at the Unitarian Society at 176 Tices Lane in East Brunswick after rehearsals at 10 p.m.  Rehearsals are every Monday and run from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Come to rehearsals at 7:30 pm, sing in with them, or just listen.

A Closer Look at Your Social Security Benefits, East Brunswick Public Library, 2 Jean Walling Civic Center, East Brunswick, 7 p.m.

Learn about Social Security benefits and your options for making the "right choice." Learn what you'll need to know beforehand when it's time to go to your Social Security office to sign up for benefits.  

Wednesday

Moms Club of East Brunswick Back to School Play Date, Great Oak Park, Rues Lane, East Brunswick, 4 p.m.

Ever feel like the only stay home mom in the area? The MOMS Club of the East Brunswick Area offers weekly events and activities. Please meet us at Great Oak park, at the toddler playground for our back to school playdate in the park.

Thursday

Third Thursday: Jeremy Gilley: Peace One Day, East Brunswick Public Library, 2 Jean Walling Civic Center, East Brunswick, noon and 7 p.m.

View and discuss the mini-lecture by Jeremy Gilley, founder of Peace One Day, from the archives of TED: Ideas Worth Spreading. The founder of Peace One Day advocates for one day of global peace where kids “who’ve known only war can learn what peace looks like, sounds like” After viewing the clip, there will be a moderated casual discussion on the topic over lunch (bring your own) at noon and dessert (provided by The Friends of The Library) at 7 p.m. Open to adults and teens. Young adults are particularly encouraged to attend.
