Visit the East Brunswick Public Library's display for Black History Month.

Celebrate Black History Month at the East Brunswick Public Library. On display at The Library this month is a countdown of 250 Historic Firsts in African-American History. Learn about the first African-American Millionaire, Sarah Breedlove, also known as Madame J. Walker; the first Pulitzer Prize Winner, Gwendolyn Brooks, who was recognized for her work, “Annie Allen”; and the first female astronaut, Dr. Mae Jemison. Take a look at photos, magazine covers, biographies and more all month at The Library. The display was created by Graphic Artist Jill Work.
