Today: Bears Kickoff New Season, Thunderstorms Expected
What's up in East Brunswick on Thursday.
THursday evening will kickoff a new football season as the East Brunswick High School Bears hit the road for the season opener.
Coming off a 2-7 season, new Head Coach Bob Molarz will face a tall task in his Bears debut traveling to South Brunswick to face the defending Group V State Champion Vikings. Hopefully the weather will be friendlier than the crowd, as thunderstorms are predicted to hit the area this afternoon.
Here's what else is going on in East Brunswick today.
1. Today's forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and a high of 84 degrees with a few isolated thunderstorms developing during the afternoon. A few storms may be severe.
2. Head over to South Brunswick tonight to lend your support to the Bears. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 7 p.m. at South Brunswick High School, which is located at 750 Ridge Road in Monmouth Junction.
