Upcoming Author Program Explores Impact of "Forever Chemicals"

Poisoning the Well is the shocking true-life story of PFAs and are now coursing through the veins of 97% of Americans.

EAST BRUNSWICK—Did you know that PFAs—a set of toxic chemicals most people have never heard of—are found in tons of everyday products ranging from cooking pans to mascara? East Brunswick native Sharon Udasin explores their deadly impact in her book Poisoning the Well: How Forever Chemicals Contaminated America.

She is also the special guest for an Option Green lecture on Wednesday, September 24 at 7:00 pm, at the East Brunswick Public Library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive).

Poisoning the Well is the shocking true-life story of how PFAs entered the marketplace and are now coursing through the veins of 97% of Americans. The book shares the pain of families who lost sisters and daughters, cousins, and neighbors, after PFAs leached into their drinking water. It also examines evidence that the makers of forever chemicals may have known for decades about the deadly risks of their products—because their own scientists have been documenting these dangers since the 1960s.
