Woman Fatally Shot By Police

A woman was fatally shot by a police officer in New Brunswick on Friday, New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin said.

The incident took place after officers were dispatched to an apartment building on Neilson Street in response to a 911 call about a resident walking around with a knife in the hallway.

The woman’s identity has not yet been released.

Man Killed By Tractor-Trailer On Turnpike

A 43-year-old man was killed after he was struck by a tractor-trailer on the NJ Turnpike on Sunday morning in Mount Laurel, according to media reports. The man was involved in a prior accident and was outside his car when a tractor-trailer traveling southbound struck the man after he entered the right lane.

Fire Rips Through School Building Under Demolition

A fire erupted at a school building under demolition in Atlantic City on Friday, according to media reports. The fire started around 6:05 p.m. at the former New Jersey Avenue school, and spread to all three floors of the building, 6ABC reported.

Motorcycle Driver Killed In Crash

A motorcycle driver was killed in a crash in Newark on Saturday.

Leandro Cardoso Da Costa, 40, of Elizabeth, died after his motorcycle collided with a car. According to surveillance footage, the motorcycle increased speed towards the intersection when it collided with the car.
