Boo! East Hanover Couple Displays Scary Halloween Spirit
Olimpia Garruto-Grillo and Antonio Grillo establish tradition of decorating their home each October.
A local couple certainly takes All Hallows Eve seriously.
Fitness consultant company owner Olimpia Garruto-Grillo and her attorney husband Antonio Grillo share a love for Halloween. After getting married five years ago, the couple started to decorate their townhouse in bewitching fashion for the holiday.
"Every year, we try to make the house scarier than the previous year," Garruto told Patch. "The neighbors and kids, older kids of course, really enjoy this. We start inviting them over a couple weekends before Halloween."
The festivities were hampered over the last two years due to weather disasters, but Garruto said they are optimistic.
"We are hoping for good weather and for the neighborhood kids to stop by," she said.
Among the highlights of the couple's Halloween display for 2013 are a "Crazy Clown Corner," an "Evil Pumpkin Patch," a "Zombie Funeral" in the living room, a "Psycho Operating Room" in the dining room and a "Possessed Children's Nursery Room."
