MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Five people have been arrested after leading police on a chase in a stolen car throughout Morris County, officials said.
On Thursday, around 1 a.m., East Hanover Police ran the plates of an Audi Q5 and found it to be stolen out of Newark, authorities said.
Officers attempted to pull the Audi over before it attempted to escape on Ridgedale Avenue northbound towards Rt. 280, police said.

A chase ensued, and the Audi struck a curb, causing a flat tire. The flat tire kept the pursuit at “relatively low speeds,” according to officials.
The chase finally ended in Montville when five people bailed out of the car and took off on foot, police said.
