East Hanover Man Gets Nearly 4 Years for Scamming World Trade Center Workers
Gerardo Fusella pleaded guilty to underpaying into the pension fund—and keeping the difference for himself.

An East Hanover trucking company owner who pleaded guilty to cheating World Trade Center construction workers out of more than $1 million was sentenced to 46 months behind bars in Brooklyn, N.Y. Federal Court Tuesday, the New York Post reported.
Gerardo Fusella of Alpine Investment Group, admitted to understating the work that was performed to avoid contributing to his workers’ pension plan and instead keeping the funds for himself. The man's brother, Vincent Fusella, received a sentence of two months in prison for his part in the situation.
Together, the brothers must pay back the money, the article said.
