12-Year-Old Girl, Dog Killed In Fatal West Windsor Crash
The girl and her dog were crossing an intersection when they were struck by a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee, West Windsor Police said.
WEST WINDSOR, NJ — A 12-year-old girl and her dog were killed when they were fatally struck by a vehicle on Monday evening in West Windsor, police said.
Around 5:37 p.m., West Windsor police responded to the intersection of Rabbit Hill Rd. and Abbington Ln., on reports of a pedestrian struck.
On arrival, EMS found 12-year-old Ananta Ahuja and her dog lying on the road in the intersection.

Fire and Emergency Services immediately rendered first aid to Ahuja and took her to Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries, police said. Her dog died at the scene.
According investigation, a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 65-year-old man was traveling on Rabbit Hill Rd., when he struck Ananta and her dog as they were crossing the road.

The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Serious Collision Response Team responded to the scene to assist with the ongoing investigation.
The identity of the driver of the Jeep is being withheld pending further investigation.
