No Explosives Found After Bomb Threat Prompts Walmart Evacuation In East Windsor

Officers quickly evacuated the store, with no injuries reported, police said.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — The Walmart in East Windsor was evacuated on Friday after a bomb threat was called in, police said.

On Friday, around 5:43 P.M., the East Windsor Police Department responded to a bomb threat at Walmart. An unidentified caller contacted the store's pharmacy department, claiming to have placed an explosive device inside the building and threatening detonation if the employee disconnected the call, police said.

The caller, however, ended the call before police could arrive at the scene.

Officers swiftly evacuated the store, with no injuries reported among employees, customers, or first responders.

Explosive detection K-9 units from West Windsor Police, New Jersey Transit Police, and the Mercer County Sheriff's Office conducted a thorough sweep of the premises. No explosive devices were located during the search, police said.
