Flood Watch Issued for Mercer County

Expect another deluge today.

Β

An early summer onslaught of rain isn't letting up this week, as a flood watch has been issued for Mercer County from Thursday morning into late Thursday night by the National Weather Service. Β

The NWS is calling for one to 4 inches of rain with higher amounts possible locally. Due to the heavy rain on Friday and Monday, local rivers, creeks and streams are already running high and will not take much additional precipitation to flood over again. Many local roads, inluding spots on Route 27 and Route 1 were closed due to flooding.
