Forgery, Shoplifting: East Windsor Police Blotter

The following is a summary of incidents as reported by East Windsor Police:

EAST WINDSOR, NJ β€” On May 15, an officer responded to ShopRite for a report that an individual attempted to pass a counterfeit bill. On police arrival, the suspect ran from the officer but was quickly apprehended. It was also reported that the same suspect attempted to pass a counterfeit bill at Picture Show. The 18-year-old Bronx resident was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released on a complaint summons pending court action.

On May 15, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot after a registration check revealed the license plate did not match the vehicle. The driver was found to have active warrants out of Robbinsville and Medford. The driver, a Trenton resident, was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, processed, and later released on his own recognizance.

On May 16 an officer conducted a traffic stop for an improperly displayed temporary registration. The driver was found to have an active warrant out of Jackson and was placed under arrest. The driver was taken to police headquarters, processed, and released after posting bail.

On May 17, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot after learning the registered owner of the vehicle had active warrants out of Ewing. The officer confirmed the driver was the owner and placed her under arrest. The 32-year-old Englishtown resident was transported to police headquarters, processed, and later turned over to the custody of the Ewing Police.

On May 19, an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing the vehicle being operated erratically. The front seat passenger provided the officer with false information and was found to have an active warrant out of New Brunswick. The passenger was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, processed, issued a complaint summons, and turned over to the custody of the New Brunswick Police.

On May 20, an officer responded to Bottle King for a report of a shoplifting that just occurred. The manager reported that the suspect stole two bottles of alcohol valued at $146.98. The individual was located a short time later and placed under arrest. The individual was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released on a complaint summons pending court action. The two bottles were returned to Bottle King.
