Fuel Prices Continue Summer Increase

Fuel prices were on the rise again this week

The average price for New Jersey on July 22, according to AAA, was $3.66 per gallon, up 3 cents per gallon in a week and $1.09 more than the same week a year ago.

Nationally, prices are slowly climbing toward their early-May peak of $3.98 a gallon after falling to $3.54 per gallon on June 30. They stood at $3.70 a gallon on Friday.

The average fuel price in the Cranbury area was $3.685 earlier today, up from $3.674 a week ago and $3.611 last month. In the Hightstown area, average prices were $3.669.
