‘I’m So Hurt And Feel Broken’: NJ Brothers Killed In Crash Mourned
Aaron and Joshua Davis died in the crash, while their 2 other brothers are battling injuries at a hospital.
EAST WINDSOR, NJ — Community members are mourning the loss of the two New Jersey brothers who were killed in a crash on Interstate 95 Friday that left their two younger brothers in critical condition.
Aaron Davis, 23 of Cranbury, and his brother Joshua Davis, 22 of East Windsor, died after their car lost control near mile marker 25.5, left the roadway and plunged off I-95 in Pennsylvania.
Their two other brothers, East Windsor’s Benjamin and Nathaniel Davis, 18, were seriously injured in the crash. A puppy riding in the back of the Mazda was also ejected in the collision and was found dead.

“I call them “my boys”! I love them, and keep them close; serving, church work, yard work, organizing the garage, driving me, etc. I insist on paying them, and do, even though they never asked or requested anything. Fine young soldiers. Good boys, that loved the Lord. I’m so hurt, and feel broken,” Hilliard said.
He described their parents as “amazing, attentive, Godly, hard-working.”
Aaron and Joshua were deeply involved in their church - from the Children’s Ministry to the Youth and Teen Ministries. They were also active participants in the Media Ministry, he said.
“As Acolytes, they carried the cross, candles, and bible in and out of the sanctuary. They just loved that, and they did it so well. And that’s how we want you to remember them,” the Senior Bishop said.
Hilliard called on the congregation to pray for Benjamin and Nathaniel who are currently in hospital.
“Ben and Nate were in the car also, and by the grace of God, they survived. They're battered and broken and bruised, but they survived. And we are praying for the family,” Hillard said.
He encouraged the congregants to contribute to the GoFundMe started for the Davis family to pay for funeral expenses and support care for the surviving brothers.
Lawrence Perry, a cousin of the family, started the fundraiser and said Aaron and Joshua’s death has left a “unimaginable void” in the lives of all those who knew them.
“Josh and Aaron were true gentlemen—thoughtful, dependable, and deeply loved by all who knew them. They served with humility and dedication outside of church, always conducting themselves with respect, responsibility, and grace. They were pursuing their education and entrepreneurial ventures, coming into their own, and beginning to realize the limitless nature of their potential,” Perry said.
He noted that the fundraiser was created to assist with funeral expenses, memorial arrangements, and other urgent needs the family may encounter in the coming days.
The goal of the fundraiser is to collect $150,000 and as of Tuesday morning, they raised $25,131.
Funeral arrangements have not been announced yet.
