Man Charged With Arson For 3 East Windsor Fires: Police
East Windsor Police and Mercer County Prosecutor's Office is currently investigating.
EAST WINDSOR, NJ — A 20-year-old East Windsor resident was charged with arson and other offenses after three fires were reported at Mercer Street in East Windsor on Monday, police said.
On Monday, around 7:32 a.m., the East Windsor Police Department responded to 651 Mercer Street for a report that a building was on fire.
On arrival, officers found a small structure fully engulfed in flames. They then located a second small fire inside the main building, police said.

Moments later, another officer located a third fire in a shed in the wooded area between Bicycle Rack and The Home Depot. Responding fire personnel extinguished the fires, and there were no reported injuries.
A witness reported seeing a man walking from the wooded area near The Home Depot. Officers located Pedro X. Mendoza-Jaramillo, 20 of East Windsor, in between The Home Depot and Walmart.

He was charged with three counts of arson, criminal mischief, and burglary. Mendoza-Jaramillo was placed under arrest and was later taken to Mercer County Corrections pending a court hearing.
The fire remains under investigation by the East Windsor Police Department and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
