Patch Tops List of Important Online Publishers
Magazine puts Patch at No. 5 of 100 online publishing companies.
By now, a lot of people in Central Jersey know about Patch and many have been coming here for local news since December 2010, when we were the second Patch site launched in Central New Jersey. And if you're reading this, you're probably one of them.
There are more than 800 sites now and a lot more people are beginning to know that Patch can be a great resource for local news. So much so that the Magazine for Online Media, Marketing and Advertising ranks Patch No. 5 among "The 100 Most Important Online Publishers." The top 5 in order are: Facebook, The New York Times, Huffington Post, Netflix, Patch.
That puts Patch ahead of CNN (No. 10), the AP (No. 26) and Charlie Sheen (the guy came in at #17 because of his 4.3 million Twitter followers).
