The following is a summary of incidents as reported by East Windsor Police:
EAST WINDSOR, NJ — On April 10, an officer responded to ShopRite for a past shoplifting report and met with loss prevention personnel. The suspect left the store without paying for $354.14 worth of merchandise. The officer conducted a follow-up investigation, identified the suspect, a Plainsboro resident, and charged her accordingly.
On April 11, at 12:05 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing the driver using his cell phone and the front seat passenger not wearing his seatbelt. The officer noticed signs of narcotics activity and searched the vehicle. The search yielded a pipe commonly used to smoke crack cocaine as well as other associative drug paraphernalia. The passenger initially provided the officer with a fake name, but eventually was truthful about his identity. Additionally, the passenger claimed ownership of the drug paraphernalia and was charged accordingly.

On April 12, 2:22 a.m., an officer responded to Exit 8 for a disturbance. The officer encountered two individuals who appeared intoxicated and were behaving unruly. The officer had to separate the two multiple times as they screamed obscenities and continuously acted in an aggressive manner. The individuals refused to cooperate or calm down and were placed under arrest. They were transported to police headquarters, processed, and later released on complaint summonses pending court action.
On April at 7:56 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing the vehicle being operated with its headlights off. The driver was found to have a suspended license and a warrant out of Asbury Park. The driver as placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, processed, and later released on his own recognizance.

On April 13, 9:23 p.m., an officer responded to the Twin Rivers Animal Hospital for an activated alarm. On arrival, the building was secure; however, the officer met with two individuals seated on a bench behind the building. The one individual was found to have active warrants out of East Windsor and was placed under arrest. The individual was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released after posting bail.
April 14, 2:05 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle parked at McDonald’s with damage to the front passenger tire. The officer met with the driver, who was found to have an active warrant out of Middlesex County. The driver was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, and later transported to Middlesex County Corrections.
On April 15, 12:23 p.m., an officer responded to Target for a report of a female who was concealing merchandise on her person. The officer met with the suspect, who initially provided a fake name. The individual was found to have active warrants out of Hamilton and Lawrence. The individual was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, issued a complaint summons, and later turned over to the custody of the Hamilton Police on the outstanding warrant from their jurisdiction.
On April 16, 7:44 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for an improper lane change. The driver was found to have an active warrant out of Asbury Park and was placed under arrest. The driver was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released on his own recognizance.
