Reckless Driving, Fictitious Plates: East Windsor Police Blotter
The East Windsor Police Blotter dated Jan. 31 had the following reports:
EAST WINDSOR, NJ — On Jan. 25 at 9:23 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 133 West after observing a traffic violation and learning the registered owner had an active traffic warrant out of Princeton. The officer confirmed the driver was the registered owner and placed him under arrest, The driver, a 20-year-old Princeton resident, was taken to police headquarters where he was released after posting bail.
On Jan. 26 at 1:40 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Abbington Drive after observing several traffic violations. The driver, a 30-year-old Philadelphia resident was found to have an active traffic warrant out of Westampton and was placed under arrest. He was transported to police headquarters where he was later released on his own recognizance.
On Jan. 27, at 7:50 a.m., an officer was detailed to 18 Dickenson Lane for a follow-up matter. The officer was advised on scene that the resident had an active warrant out of Prince George's County, MD. The 37-year-old East Windsor resident was placed under arrest and later taken to Mercer County Corrections where she was detained on the active warrant.

On Jan. 27 at 4:04 p.m., an officer responded to ShopRite for a shoplifting in progress. Loss prevention personnel observed an individual leave the store without paying for $169.58 worth of merchandise and stopped her in the parking lot. Additionally, the woman was found to have an active traffic warrant out of Trenton City. The 32-year-old was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters where she was later released on a summons pending court action and on her own recognizance for the warrant.
On Jan. 27, at 11:05 p.m., an officer responded to the parking lot of 510 Route 130 South for a motor vehicle accident. The driver of one of the vehicles showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 26-year-old East Windsor resident was taken to police headquarters and later released pending court action.

On Jan. 29 at 4:29 p.m., an officer responded to Walmart for a shoplifting in progress. Loss prevention personnel observed a man leave the store without paying for $95.93 worth of merchandise. The 62-year-old East Windsor resident was located a short distance away and placed under arrest. He was taken to police headquarters where he was processed and released on a summons pending court action.
On Jan. 31, at 2:45 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Shell on 1 Lake Drive after observing multiple traffic violations. The driver was found to have an active warrant out of Burlington County and was placed under arrest. The driver, a 31-year-old Willingboro resident was taken to police headquarters and later turned over to the custody of the Burlington County Sheriff's Office.
On Jan. 31, at 7 a.m., an officer recognized an individual that he was aware had an active East Windsor warrant walking on Route 130 North. The Hightstown man was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters and released after posting bail.
On Jan. 31, at 2:26 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 130 North after a registration inquiry revealed the owner of the vehicle and had an active traffic warrant out of Ewing Township. The officer confirmed the driver was the owner and placed her under arrest. The 32-year-old woman was taken to police headquarters where she was later released on her own recognizance.
