Report: Architecture Firm Recommends Borough Hall Demolition

After The Goldstein Partnership, an architecture firm,Β presented several options for what to do with Hightstownβs destroyed Borough Hall, the council ultimately decided to have it demolished, according to the Windsor-Hights Herald.Β
The Borough Hall has been left vacant since it was damaged by flood waters from Hurricane Irene in August of 2011. Eli Goldstein, a partner within The Goldstein Partnership, recommended demolishing the building, according to the report.Β
After the architectural presentation at last weekβs Council meeting, the council members voted 5-1 in favor of The Goldstein Partnership moving forward in designing a concept for a new Borough Hall that would be constructed in the old Borough Hall location, the report said.Β
