The project will be paid for through a $250,000 grant from the state Department of Transportation.

“Twin Rivers Drive, home to elementary schools, bus shelters and Twin Rivers recreational facilities, is an important and much used municipal roadway, which is deteriorated and in need of improvements," said Mayor Janic Mironov. “the $250,000 State grant for Twin Rivers Drive is important in our efforts to undertake needed local roadway improvements in East Windsor.”

The project is a continuation of "recent grant-funded roadway improvement" in Twin Rivers to Twin Rivers Drive North from Probasco Road to Jamestown Road, Twin Rivers Drive from Milford Road to Evanston Drive and the entire length of Abbington Drive, the mayor said.

Township officials said the road will remain open, but there will be some delays due to periods of alternating one-way traffic during working hours.  The road will be fully open by 5 pm on each work day and on weekends.  No parking will be allowed on either side of the road during working hours for the resurfacing portion of the project.
