The following is a summary of incidents as reported by East Windsor Police:

EAST WINDSOR, NJ – On April 24, at 1:32 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after the driver failed to stop at a stop sign. The officer noticed signs of narcotics activity inside of the vehicle and the driver showed signs of impairment. The Freehold resident was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 39-year-old was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.

On April 26 at 2:20 a.m. an officer responded to the area on a report of a hit and run motor vehicle collision. The suspect vehicle struck a parked vehicle and a mailbox before leaving the scene. The vehicle was located a short time later parked in Chestnut Willow. The occupant showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety test. The 18-year-old East Windsor resident was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.

On April 26, 6:46 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 571 after observing the vehicle’s brake lights out. The driver had a warrant out of Elizabeth and was placed under arrest. The 32-year-old East Windsor resident was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released after posting bail.

On April 27, at 1:03 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 33/Probasco Road after observing the vehicle being operated erratically. The driver showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 31-year-old Hightstown resident was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.

On April 27, 1:46 a.m., an officer checked on a motorist who was pulled over on the shoulder of Route 133 East. The driver showed signs of impairment, was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.

On April 28, at 11 a.m., an officer responded to ShopRite for a past tense shoplifting report. Loss prevention personnel advised that a suspect exited the store without paying for $123.48 worth of merchandise. The case was assigned to a detective who identified the suspect and charged her accordingly.
