Unlicensed Driver, Obstructing Traffic: East Windsor Police Blotter

The East Windsor Police blotter dated Oct. 31 had the following reports:

EAST WINDSOR, NJ – On Oct. 24 an officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 33 East after observing the vehicle did not have its front license plate displayed. The driver was found to be unlicensed and had active warrants out of Jersey City and Lodi. The 23-year-old Jersey City man was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, processed, issued traffic summonses, and released after posting bail.

On Oct. 24, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of 680 Route 33 East after observing the driver failing to yield to oncoming traffic. The driver was found to have an active warrant out of Robbinsville as well as a suspended driver’s license. The 37-year-old Millstone resident was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, issued traffic summons, and later released on his own recognizance.

On Oct. 24, an officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 130 South near Hankins Road after a check of the vehicle’s registration showed it was suspended. The driver was found to have an active warrant out of Clementon. The 23-year-old Newark resident was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, issued a traffic summons, and released after posting bail.

On Oct. 24, an officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 133 East after a check of the vehicle’s registration showed it was suspended. The driver was found to have active warrants out of Wilmington, DE and East Orange. The 27-year-old New York resident was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, issued a traffic summons, and later transported to Mercer County Corrections where she was detained on an active warrant.

On Oct. 25, an officer responded to Motel 6 for an activated smoke alarm. On arrival, he found a man who was known to have active warrants. The warrants were confirmed out of South Brunswick and East Windsor. The 54-year-old was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, processed, and later turned over to the custody of the South Brunswick Police on the active warrant out of their jurisdiction.

On Oct. 28, an officer conducted a traffic stop on Nettleton Drive after a check of the vehicle’s registration showed the registered owner had a suspended license. The driver was confirmed to be the registered owner and was found to have an active warrant out of Robbinsville. The 34-year-old East Windsor resident was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, processed, issued a traffic summons, and released after posting bail.

On Oct. 29, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of CVS after a check of the vehicle’s registration showed the registered owner had an active warrant out of Perth Amboy. The officer confirmed the driver was the owner. The 35-year-old was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, and released after posting bail.

On Oct. 29 an officer observed an individual known to have active warrants walking on Abbington Drive near CVS. The warrant was confirmed out of East Windsor and the man was placed under arrest. The 48-year-old East Windsor resident was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released on his own recognizance.
