Summer Restaurant Week To Kick Off In Metuchen July 18

The aim of the restaurant week is to boost sales at local eateries grappling with post-pandemic recovery.

METUCHEN, NJ — The upcoming restaurant week in Metuchen will be a celebration of all things summer.

The Summer Restaurant Week begins from July 18 to 24, and will feature local restaurants offering multi-course lunch and dinner menus for in-person dining and takeout.

The prix fixe menu would cost between $25-$58.50 per person. The aim of the restaurant week is to boost sales at local restaurants that are grappling with post-pandemic recovery, made difficult by inflation, staff shortages, supply issues and closures.

According to a report by the National Restaurant Association, food, labor, and occupancy costs are expected to remain high, blunting restaurant profit margins in 2022.

The restaurant week is being hosted by the Metuchen Downtown Alliance.

Four restaurants have released the menu as of Tuesday - Greek On Main, Hailey's Harp & Pub, Fusha Asian Bistro n' Sushi, Fire & Flavor BBQ. More menus to come soon. Click here to check out the menus.
