5 GA Men Charged With Attempted Murder In Bergen Home Invasion

The home invasion, which reportedly involved the accused in FBI raid gear, left a victim with life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

CRESSKILL, NJ - Five Georgia residents were charged this week in connection with a home invasion last summer that left a victim seriously injured from several gunshot wounds, authorities said.

Aaron Perry, 53, Ali Muhammad, 33, Kedrain Burdette, 51, Roderick Carmichael, 50, and Taurus Sanchez Boone, 41, were charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, armed robbery and various theft and weapons offenses, in connection with the July 22 incident, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said Tuesday.

Shortly after 8 p.m. on July 22, Cresskill police responded to a report of a home invasion/robbery/shooting at the Center Street residents, with multiple armed individuals reportedly wearing FBI raid jackets, police said.

One victim was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries from several gunshot wounds, police said.

Following the five-month long investigation from Cresskill police and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad, the five Georgia residents were arrested and taken into police custody by FBI and Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office special agents, authorities said, adding that several handguns, long guns and ballistic armor were seized during the arrests.
