Flood Advisory In Effect For Bergen County Friday: See Timing

Flood and wind advisories were issued for Bergen County on Friday. See the high tide times.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Heavy rains are predicted for Friday morning in Bergen County, leading to potential flooding near shorelines.

The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood advisory in Bergen County from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, during the morning commute.

High tide for the Saddle River on Friday morning is 9:20 a.m. For the Hackensack, it's 8:37 a.m.

The National Weather Service said for Friday, "Rain, mainly after 4 a.m. Temperature rising to around 54 by 5 a.m...Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible."

Then later, "Rain and possibly a thunderstorm before 1pm, then a chance of rain between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m...Winds could gust as high as 44 mph. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible."
