Bergen Man Charged In Sex Assault Of 2 Children: Prosecutor

A NJ man was charged with repeatedly sexually assaulting two children between the ages of 7 and 9 years old, authorities said.

ENGLEWOOD, NJ - A Bergen County man has been charged with repeatedly sexually assaulting two children between the ages of seven and nine years old in Englewood, authorities said.

William Hernandez, 31, of Englewood, was charged Wednesday with three counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, two counts of second-degree sexual assault and two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

The charges stem from an investigation led by the Englewood Police Department, which on Tuesday notified the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child, Musella said.

Hernandez was arrested the following day in Paramus, Musella added.

Hernandez, a cashier, was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
