
Deli chain Schlotzsky’s will host a grand opening of its first New Jersey location in Englewood Sunday, the company said.
The eatery, located at 39 Nathaniel Place in the ShopRite plaza, is one of 17 locations planned around New Jersey, according to a company press release. The Englewood deli will bring 40 jobs to the local economy.
“With our addictive recipes, upbeat surroundings and funny sayings, we’re adding a tremendous new flavor to the New Jersey fast-casual dining scene,” Lea Dallegio, owner of Schlotzsky’s in Englewood, said in the release. “It will be hard not to smile when you walk into our bright new restaurant, smell the bread baking and get a first look at our ‘bun humor’. New Jersey is in for a real treat.”

The location will also include Cinnabon and Carvel® Ice Cream.
Sunday's grand opening will include give-aways and the first 100 customers who purchase a "CinnaPark" of Cinnabon rolls will get free Cinnabon or Schlotzsky’s for a year, the release said.

"During opening week, Schlotzsky’s will contribute five percent of proceeds to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), in an effort to support the brand’s national cause," according to the release.
The restaurant will be open 8 a.m.- 8p.m. Monday through Friday, 9a.m.- 8p.m. Saturday, and 10a.m.- 6p.m. Sunday. For more information, call 201-608-5422.
