Driver Crashes Into Englewood Brook: Police
The 19-year-old driver did not appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, police said.
ENGLEWOOD, NJ — A man crashed his vehicle and wound up in an Englewood brook Monday night, police said.
The 19-year-old driver crashed his late-model Toyota at 7:31 p.m. on Murray Avenue, said Deputy Chief Gregory Halstead. The vehicle wound up in a nearby brook, he said.
Police did not know Tuesday morning what caused the accident. The Englewood Fire Department removed the driver from the vehicle, Halstead said.

The driver did not appear to be under the influence of drug or alcohol when the accident occurred, the deputy chief said. He was taken to Hackensack Medical Center with a laceration to his face, and injuries to his nose and jaw.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
